Vanessa Walker, Director
Vanessa has worked in architecture, urban development and the arts for over 25 years, helping to create community and cultural destinations in towns and cities around Australia.
A recognised placemaking advisor and advocate, she has an unusual blend of expertise in strategic urban planning and design, facilitation and communication, creative direction, production and management.
In addition to her advisory and consulting work, Vanessa is an active contributor to placemaking discussions, juries, education and community projects in her hometown of Melbourne.
Oliver Harris, Graduate Urban Designer
Oliver is a natural collaborator who is passionate about making cities and places more equitable, enjoyable and environmentally sustainable. Oliver’s many skills include urban research, mapping and analysis, design strategy and communications.
Since joining Big Space in 2022, Oliver has made significant contributions to our research, digital engagement, strategy and presentations.
